Integrated Resource Extraction, Specialty Refining & COGEN Power
Project Overview
The EOIL Resource Development Project is a phased, fully integrated upstream–downstream energy initiative in Nigeria. It combines technology-based resource extraction with a small-scale specialty refinery and an integrated Combined Heat and Power (COGEN) facility, all within a single, self-sustaining production complex. The project is structured in two phases to optimize capital deployment, reduce execution risk, and align with the bankability requirements of multilateral Development Finance Institutions.

World Class Enhanced Recovery Method
Project Overview
The resource is extracted using an enhanced resource recovery method, a globally proven technology deployed commercially in North America and Europe. The project targets resource deposits where the enhanced resource recovery methods are technically and economically superior to conventional methods. A specialty refinery processes extracted resources through a dedicated process train to generate products that are fully compliant with international specifications. The COGEN facility converts associated gas from the recovery process into electrical power and supplies an on-site hydrogen reformer that supplies the refinery hydroprocessing units. This integration eliminates dependence on the grid and diesel generators, eliminates routine gas flaring, and delivers a material reduction in the project's overall GHG emission intensity.

Solid Sample — Laboratory Characterization
Feedstock Analysis | Elemental Characterization
Project Overview
A solid sample associated with the project underwent a comprehensive laboratory characterization programme to determine its elemental composition, thermal behaviour, physical properties, and resource distribution. The analysis was conducted using a suite of internationally recognized standard test methods and provides foundational feedstock data to support refinery design, process simulation, and product yield modelling.

Geological Study of Resource Area
Project Overview
A preliminary geological study of the resource deposit in 'Nigeria was commissioned by EOIL Energy EP Ltd and conducted between mid-2025 and late 2025. The study combined desk research, surface (field) mapping, subsurface data gathering, and geophysical survey to establish the geological setting of the deposit, identify and assess existing exploration wells, collect representative samples, and recommend priority areas and locations for further assessment.
